Playing catch up.

First Centennial soccer game.

Nap time with Daddy.

First outing at 2 weeks old.

Proud Daddy.

Before we knew it Delany was here! She arrived February 21st at 2:21pm weighing 7lbs 15oz and measuring 20 inches.

January and Febrauary flew by with baby showers and many, many, meetings at school.

White Christmas around 8 months pregnant!

I first felt Delany kick around 19 weeks and Phil felt her a couple of weeks later. I can remember just laying awake at night in awe of the fact that a little life was forming inside me.

After picking the name Delany we looked up it's meaning. Apparently Delany means challenger! Take a look at what our little challenger did at 20 weeks when the ultrasound tech nudged my belly a bit to try to get her to show her face!

My sweet child flicking the ultrasound tech off!

The ultrasound tech warned us at our ___ week 3D ultrasound that Delany might still look a little skeletal. Not our chunky monkey! She had those cheeks even in utero!

Me at 16 weeks pregnant!

We found out we were having a girl at 15 weeks during a 3D ultrasound. It seemed fitting that Phil's first child be a girl. I'm pretty sure she already had him wrapped around her finger after the ultrasound.

It was a long summer with Phil working soccer camps and me at home alone with raging hormones and google. Not a good a combination... Phil's advice to his friends who just found out their wives are pregnant is literally get rid of your internet access at home or atleast disable google!

A few days later Phil and I went out for dinner to celebrate. At dinner Phil said, "let's get this whole name thing figured out so we won't have to argue about it later" it took about 5 minutes and we had a boy and a girl name picked out. Philip Lawton for a boy and Delany Rush for a girl. While we picked the names quickly the debate began over spelling. The name Delany came from my grandmother Jeanne DeLany Singer. She quickly informed us that if we changed the upper case L to a lower case l and added an e that it really wouldn't be the same name. Needless to say that put an end to the spelling debate.

Jeanne Delany Singer seated with Anna Myrick and Fred Singer.

4 Days before my 25th birthday our world changed. We found out that I was pregnant.

Yay, we're pregnant!

Our 3rd wedding anniversary.
